Monument dedicated to 8 soldiers of the 9th Armored Division that were savagly murdered close to the Hotel Du Moulin at Lignieuville on December 17, 1944. The soldiers were: T/5 John M. Borcina, Pvt. Gerald R. Carter, S/Sgt. Joseph F. Collins, Pfc. Michael P. Benny, T/4 Casper S. Johnson, S/Sgt. Abraham Lincoln, Pvt. Clifford H. Pitts, Pvt. Nick C. Sullivan.
